What does it mean to commingle assets?

Commingling is the act of mixing business and personal assets into the same account(s). It is also the act of using business funds for personal expenses, and vice-versa. Commingling business and personal assets should be avoided at all times, as it may allow a creditor to pierce the veil of your limited liability entity.
